Dr. Samer Al-Diri is a UK-trained ophthalmologist and retinal consultant with extensive international experience in clinical medicine, public health, healthcare transformation, and strategic health systems planning. He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, a Master’s degree from the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology in collaboration with Moorfields Eye Hospital, and a Master of Science with Merit in Public Health, Healthcare Planning, and Management from City, University of London.

With professional experience spanning the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, the South Pacific region, and Syria, Dr. Al-Diri has developed a strong international perspective in healthcare delivery, institutional excellence, and health systems strengthening. His work combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership in healthcare transformation, public health consultancy, healthcare quality improvement, and organizational development.

Dr. Al-Diri has served as a healthcare advisor and strategic planner across governmental, private, and humanitarian sectors, contributing to healthcare strengthening initiatives and transformation programs in complex and resource-constrained settings.
